Texas College is a residential, historically African-American, baccalaureate degree-granting college of the liberal arts founded in 1894 and is affiliated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Texas College is committed to the intellectual, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual development of each student. The Texas College campus of 25 acres is located in the thriving East Texas city of Tyler, popular for its lakes and woodlands and its convenient location 100 miles east of Dallas and 90 miles west of Shreveport, Louisiana.
